Roll Up rapper Emtee's star keeps rising with 2016 already proving to be a big year for the hip-hop sensation.

Just days after Emtee flaunted his brand new AMG worth over R800K, he's revealed that his album Avery has been certified platinum.

The rapper's debut album Avery has exceeded the stipulated number of CDs sold, pushing it to platinum status in just seven months.

According to the Recording Industry of South Africa 30 000 CDs need to be sold to reach platinum status.

Taking to social media Emtee said that going platinum was due to hard work and passion. "Love. Respek. Faith. Hard Work. Love. Art. Passion," Emtee said.
