Local rapper Solo is a big fan of SA music legend Zola. So you can only imagine how excited he was when he got the opportunity to perform in front of his idol.
The pair were both on the DJ Sbu Breakfast Show on Monday morning when Zola asked Solo to "drop a 16 (freestyle)" for him.
While many of us would probably be totally star-struck and struggle to stammer out a few words that sound close to English, Solo showed his class by not only accepting the challenge but blowing Zola away with a special surprise.
"Instead (of the freestyle), I rapped an old verse of his to pay homage. He couldn't have expected it. His reaction was priceless! Much respect to the OG. Thank you for the inspiration," Solo explained.
