Popular radio and TV personality Masechaba Ndlovu has a spiritual side as deep as her presenting talent, and this week showed fans how much her faith and traditions mean to her.

Masechaba took to Instagram on Monday evening to post pictures of herself in traditional wear as she attended a spiritual ceremony over the weekend.

Dressed in a cloak that is believed to signal her as a prophetess in her denomination, Masechaba took time to attend the ceremony that many of her fans speculated was one involving traditional healers.

Speaking to TMG Entertainment on Tuesday morning, a spokesperson for the star refused to comment on what the ceremony was, or on Masechaba's role in the day's proceedings.

But her appearance at the ceremony should come as no surprise to followers of the star. Masechaba has spoken before of her deep traditional and spiritual roots.

Speaking to the Legacy Project, Masechaba once said that she felt her calling was "to heal, to create social cohesion, understanding, to empower and develop people" through her gifts.

"My faith plays a very big role in my life. It’s my faith which has got me through the most difficult of times. I've always been aware of a much bigger presence, a much bigger being, even before I was religious," she later added.
