Ayanda Ncwane returned to work earlier this week for the first time since her husband, Sfiso Ncwane's death, and those close to her were there to show support.

Taking to social media Ayanda thanked her friends and family for helping her on this journey every day.

"Thanking everyone who hold my hand each day of this new journey. I truly, truly appreciate you all, even those who are unable to reach out to me, but still pray and love me. Ngyabonga kakhulu," Ayanda said.

Ayanda, her staff and friends comforted themselves by singing Sfiso's songs and remembered his jokes.

Among those who are part of Ayanda's support system is Home Affairs Minister, Malusi Gigaba's wife, Norma.

"Trying to comfort ourselves with bab Ncwane's songs and remembering his jokes and all. This is the only way my team and my friends do to cope and accept God's painful decision for now," she added.
