Who knew when 33-year-old nurse Nonhlanhla “Skolopad” Qwabe took to the Metro FM Music Awards black carpet in February she would become an overnight sensation?

Skolopad, or the "lady in the yellow dress" as she is now known as, grabbed everyone's attention when she walked the red carpet in a racy yellow outfit that showed some serious leg and bum.

The video went viral with the musician hogging headlines for weeks after the appearance.

She told TshisaLIVE that she was embracing her moment in the spotlight and promised even more "dramatic appearances".

  • WATCH: Rebecca Malope cleaned the floor for me before I came on, says the lady in the yellow dressSkolopad, better known as the lady in the yellow dress, said that she wasn't invited to perform at the Hlaudi Motsoeneng home-coming party. She showed up without an invite and took over.

She declared that she was "already on top" of the game and was one of Mzansi's A-listers.

"I'm already on top (of the game). I am not moving. Skolopad is not moving, shame. She stays right up there," she told us.

She proved herself a few days later when she was seen rubbing shoulders with the likes of Rebecca Malope and Jub Jub Maarohanye at  a "welcome home” concert for controversial former SABC COO Hlaudi Motsoeneng.

She said that Rebecca even "opened" the stage for her.

"I heard her (Rebecca) on stage performing, you know, crying and crawling as she does, cleaning the stage for me. The people were in the spirit as she sang, but when I got there the party began," Skolopad said of her experience at the concert.

Skolopad has declared 2017 her breakthrough year, but will she be able to keep up the momentum?

If she has anything to do with it, you won't be forgetting her in a hurry.
