Jill Scott has broken her silence on the social media storm that brewed over a sultry performance she gave, telling fans who were shocked by her behaviour that they should "cum" to her shows and not take life so seriously.

Twitter was nearly taken to the ER this week after a video of the American singer simulating a sexual act on stage went viral. 

In the video, taken from a concert in August, Jill is seen caressing her microphone sensually.

Soon she found herself on Twitter trends lists around the world.

But Ma Jill took it all in her stride and took to Twitter to urge people not to just tweet reactions but "cum" to her shows and maybe get laid.

LOL! The sexual jokes were next level.

She also shared a post by one fan who said that it was nothing new for a Jill Scott concert.

The sentiment was shared by local celeb Pearl Thusi, who also weighed in on the video and said she wasn't surprised.

Stars including Lerato Kganyago and Terry Pheto were also tickled by the clip.
