There are just six days left until all eyes will be on South Africa as global leaders and international stars head to Johannesburg for the Mandela 100 Global Citizen festival.

Social media is buzzing as the build-up to the big day gets bigger every day. On Monday, Global Citizen announced South African act Black Coffee will be joining the star-studded line-up. 

The festival will be at the FNB Stadium in Soweto on December 2. Leaders of global organisations and heads of state from Rwanda, Kenya, Ghana and Norway will be part of the event. 



Global Citizen CEO Hugh Evans confirmed on the 947 Breakfast Show that keynote speaker Oprah Winfrey has a surprise announcement on the day in honour of Mandela.

The likes of Tyler Perry, Dave Chappelle and Naomi Campbell will also be in attendance. 

Ticket winners have been encouraged to arrive early in order to stand a chance to win ticket upgrades.

Many on Twitter expressed their excitement to see some of their favourite musicians including Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Pharrell Williams, Usher, Ed Sheeran and Chris Martin.
