Who knew a sheep's debut in a hit series could garner so much attention?

Succulent was Malome Shadrack's (Desmond Dube) pet who has been by his side since the first season of the series, and survived slaughter.

In true December style and tradition, the How To Ruin Christmas franchise streamed  their recent edition The Baby Shower on Netflix.

The first two instalments, How To Ruin Christmas: The Wedding, and How To Ruin Christmas: The Funeral, were released to critical acclaim in 2020 and 2021 respectively and are streaming exclusively on Netflix

Succulent charted the Twitter trends list and some tweeps were mourning with Malome.

Some were shocked the sheep didn't make it to the wild after being tied to a tree.

“Anyeke @ramichuene when you went to go 'identify' Succulent y'all must have had to redo this scene over and over coz wow yoh my tummy is so sore from laughter, tears coming out. I cannot,” wrote one tweep.

After two chaotic, hilarious and drama-filled Christmases, the Sellos and Twalas reunited to celebrate the imminent arrival of Beauty (Thando Thabethe) and Sbu’s (Sandile Mahlangu) bundle of joy.

It's the traditional gogo vs the glam gogo as matriarchs  Valencia (Charmaine Mtinta) and Dineo (Clementine Mosimane) battle it out for the title of the century: South Africa’s favourite nkgono.

The pair are at each other's throats and battling it out to see who has better ideas for the baby shower.

See some reactions below:

This is the first instalment without Busisiwe Lurayi, who played Tumi, who died earlier this year.

Actress Rami Chuene, who starred alongside Lurayi on two instalments of Netflixs How To Ruin Christmas, was surrounded by the cast, who could not hold back tears when Rami described how Busisiwe made them feel.

She said they were shattered by her sudden passing as the star always went out of her way to make them feel close.

“We are the cast of How to Ruin Christmas, and there so many things we could say. We don’t understand it, we can’t comprehend it, we can’t internalise it. We are shattered, our hearts are broken, and anything and everything Busi was and is, we’ve all heard it. She made us all feel special.”
