Sello Maake ka Ncube and wife on their top ‘love lives here’ moments in 2022

Veteran actor Sello Maake ka Ncube has found the love he has been waiting more than six decades for and has spent most of 2022 showing  gratitude to his wife Pearl.

Sello and Pearl tied the knot two years ago in an intimate ceremony after being engaged for a while.

He took to his socials early in August and shared that Pearl was the woman he wanted to grow old with. 

Sello said when he paid lobola, he asked his delegation not to negotiate an amount with Pearl's family, adding:  “There is no ways you can put a price on a person who practically saved your career and your life.”

A one woman man

October 17 marked the pair's two-year anniversary.

Taking to his Instagram timeline, he shared snaps of moments they've shared together. He admitted he beat his old record because their marriage lasted longer than the previous one. 

“On this day two years ago, I met a lady who would end up being the love of my life. My wife, my friend, my business partner and my manager. We laugh and cry together but most importantly we are walking this journey together. If there has ever been a person who has my back it has to be Mma Mbewe,” he wrote.

Love etched into his skin

The happily married couple have tattoos of each other's names on their ring fingers.

“I'm going live shortly to give my wife her birthday present. . True love is really blind and will drive you crazy!” said Sello before he sat to have the name “Pearl” etched on his skin.

Just as the actor's fans were losing their marbles over Sello's “brave” gesture, it turned out that wifey did the same for him.

'This marriage is it'

Having tried and failed at marriage previously, the veteran actor has gone into his second attempt with a new approach and a renewed sense of love.

Sello, who has been visibly happy with his new wife, explained why this marriage would stand the test of time.

“This marriage is it for me. My task is in helping my wife realise the same goal. I’m constantly making sure I'm worthy of her love and she can trust that she is the one for me. I can’t imagine my life without her, that's how much I love this woman. She is the woman my parents prayed I would marry one day,” a smitten Sello wrote.
