Greteli de Swardt and her husband Juan marked a milestone in their marriage.

The Blood & Water actress shared images from their wedding day when penning a heartfelt lengthy post.

“A year of being your wife, and oh what a wacky, wild, wonderful ride it’s been. Things are happening so fast, I struggle to process them. It feels like I’m only starting to process our wedding day now,” she wrote.

In the post Greteli recalled moments from their special day where they did a street photo shoot after the wedding ceremony, visited a local restaurant for a slice of “leftover” pizza, stopped for ice cream at their favourite spot, then later enjoyed an intimate candlelit dinner with close family and friends.

“It might not be that aesthetic as the pretty ones in fields and so on, but it really speaks to both of us when looking back at them.”

Greteli and Juan are awaiting the birth of their first child.

The actress, who has been sharing her pregnancy journey since announcing they were expecting last October, took to her timeline to post about her experience of having to juggle work while seven months pregnant.

“This is the biggest blessing we've received and I can't thank God enough. This was the hardest secret I've ever had to keep and it feels amazing to finally share it. Thank you for all the love we've already received and everyone already celebrating this little human. We love you.

“I cannot wait to be a momma and Juan is already looking at tiny surfboards. Lil' bebe, we can't wait to meet you and do life with you.”
