Pabi Moloi is set to replace Faith Mangope as lunchtime host on Power 98.7 as Faith bids farewell to the station.

Pabi, who has been with the station since 2013, hosts the Power Weekend Breakfast and will become the host of Power Lunch, which airs on weekdays from noon to 3pm.

“I'm excited. The transition from one space to another over the years at Power 98.7 has been inspiring for me. I always wanted to move from music radio to talk radio and Power 98.7 gave me that opportunity.

“Anchoring the weekend breakfast show has been unbelievably eye-opening and challenging. I really had to dig from the inside out, not just because of the early call time, but expanding who I am as a broadcaster, and so I think it's the perfect and natural next step,” she said during an interview on Power Breakfast with Thabiso Tema.

There are other changes at the station.

Tshego Moagi, who hosts Power Life on Sunday evenings, is the new host of Power Weekend Breakfast.

Power Business will be presented by Noluthando Mthontsi-Mlambo.

Lusanda “Lusky” Nkohla will host Power Weekend on the evening slot.

Speaking about the changes which take effect on April 1, Power 98.7 MD James Shikwambana said: “The station built an internal pool of talent that always rises to the occasion.”

James said Pabi would bring new flair to lunchtime listeners.

“She has long been gearing to interact with our listeners on a regular basis and we are confident she will bring her unique brand of engagement to Power Lunch.”
