Somizi Mhlongo is walking barefoot on the beaches of “Welkom”, sipping sundowners and giving us a fashion show all at once.
He packed his bags a couple of days ago, headed to a luxurious island and has been serving vacation goals, while not disclosing the destination's location.
Somizi recently made a comeback on the airwaves after a hiatus.
“Metro FM does not go with the wind. I am not a radio DJ, but a personality who is on radio. It's a mutual respect kind of relationship,” Somizi told TshisaLIVE.
“If anyone had to take a leaf out of my life, they'd understand it never ends. I am 50 and I'm at the peak of my career. I'm like the 'it girl' who just arrived. For me, that is what makes my career exciting and interesting.
“If anyone has lost hope, look at my career. I have had ups and downs, but more than anything, there is longevity to this thing. It's up to you to make it not end.”
The media personality has been working on his kids' clothing line, Sompire Kids, which he says will launch in August.
“I never do anything I'm not passionate about. Everything bounces on a very thick skin and I'm not stopping for nobody.”
