Cyan Boujee is the latest influencer to open up about her weight loss surgery.

The DJ and influencer, who has had a Brazilian butt lift (BBL) procedure, took to her TikTok timeline to speak about her plans to undergo gastric sleeve surgery before she traveled to Turkey.

According to Mayo Clinic, gastric sleeve surgery is a surgical weight loss procedure where about 80% of the stomach is removed. This restricts the amount of food you are able to consume. The procedure prompts hormonal changes that assist with weight loss.

Cyan Boujee, real name Honour Zuma, said after several failed attempts to lose weight she had resorted to surgery.

In the video, Cyan reveals she weighed 91kg and her goal is 60kg.

"I'm not that kind of influencer who is going to randomly change my body and then go to the gym, come back and say the gym is giving," she said.

"I'm excited and happy. Money is coming in so obviously I want to buy food all the time.

"My goal is 60kg. I know it's crazy, or at least 65kg, but that is my goal. I don't want to be around 80kg, I don't want to be around 90kg. I have tried to lose weight by doing every kind of thing. It didn't work. I keep gaining."

Actress and director Gugu Gumede recently revealed she underwent gastric sleeve surgery when making her comeback on her YouTube channel.

"After losing 30kg in four months, I'm finally sharing my honest experience with weight loss surgery," she said.

In the video, Gugu reflected on gaining weight after she stopped breastfeeding and could not control her intake, which put her health at risk.

“I got to this place where I was so unhappy. I was unhappy with the weight, and with how I felt physically. I didn't feel good, my feet would hurt. I literally would go to bed at night and my heart would be pounding so much, and I was so scared because I had high blood pressure. I knew I was at a high risk of becoming a chronic patient,” she said.

“I wanted to get the gastric sleeve because I wanted to limit the amount of food I was eating.”
