Late rapper AKA's mother Lynn Forbes has launched a new podcast, Outspoken Owls, that aims to reframe what it means to be a middle-aged woman.
Joining in the upward trends of podcasts, Lynn will be joined by Katie Mohamed as they endeavour to have open conversations.
With their bold voices, the dynamic duo of Katie and Lynn have drawn on their wisdom to candidly discuss experiences and provide a new way of seeing the world.
“We are thrilled to launch Outspoken Owls and look forward to sharing insights and experiences via storytelling to our audience,” remarks Katie, the executive director at Brandfusion and founder of W-Suite — a women empowerment initiative.
Outspoken Owls offers conversation and tête-à-tête that is unapologetic, opinionated, entertaining, enlightening and engaging. Each episode is not explicitly about women, but there is a purposeful lean towards women’s issues.
Katie quipped: “Women will relate to the podcast — but many men will learn from it. And I think both those audiences are important.”
Lynn, also a wellness coach and motivational speaker, remarked that she hopes the podcast can ignite dialogue between the listeners and the hosts.
“We have stories to share that I feel will inspire our audience, but we also want to learn from our audience, whether they relate to our shared experiences.”
Katie and Lynn will help you lug the hard so we can tug life a bit lighter, braver, more uninhibited and less alone.
