Cassper Nyovest believes Idols SA contestant Thabo Ndlovu is the best ever.
The rapper sang Thabo's praises on his X timeline.
“That man Thabo on Idols is the best human being to ever hold that mic ever since the inception of that show in South Africa. Ha ke batle go bua maka (I don't want to lie), wow,” he wrote.
The top six contestants gave memorable performances on Saturday night at the Mosaïek Teatro.
Thabo, who is now one of the top five in the competition, sang Foreigner's I Want to Know What Love Is which had the audience singing along.
His soul-stirring rendition of In Love with Another Man by Jazmine Sullivan brought tears to many people's eyes. A deeply moved Somizi said, “I've never seen someone fight so hard. You've proven that the divine truly exists through music.”
Idols SA's grand finale will be on November 4. Next week, the top 5 will be mentored by multi-platinum Gospel artist Dr Tumi.
Mzansi Magic's channel 161 has confirmed this is the last season of Idols SA.
“For 18 years the international format talent search competition has created opportunities where many careers were launched. The decision to give Idols SA its final curtain call did not come easily. MultiChoice constantly reviews its channel offering to ensure we continue to bring our customers the best quality local and international content,” DStv said.
