Ard Matthews is showing South Africa that he can sing the national anthem.

Singer-songwriter Ard Matthews has posted a video of himself singing the national anthem from start to finish with no glitches.

The video is in response to the criticism he received for fumbling through it at the Springbok World Cup squad announcement at the Supersport studios in Randburg on Tuesday.

The Just Jinjer front man has repeatedly apologised for the incident, saying "words will never express my shame".

Matthews said on his YouTube account: "I'll continue to sing our anthem - sometimes with little stumbles along the way, sometimes without. Human and with heart is all I can promise."
