Members of the LGBTQI+ community took to the streets of Johannesburg on Saturday to take part in the Joburg Pride celebration at Melrose Arch. The event was headlined by musical act Toya Delazy.

The festival was hosted by Johannesburg Pride, which is also known as the 'Pride of Africa,' a multi-faceted and inclusive platform that creates positivity and awareness on issues relating to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex+ communities.

Saturday was all about celebrating the community and lighting up Johannesburg with music and dance. Oh, and the quirky outfits.

Here's how the #JhbPride2018 took over the Twitter streets.
