Petrol going up 23c a litre

The retail price of all grades of petrol will rise by 23 cents a litre from Wednesday next week (November 2) the department of energy said on Friday.

That means in Gauteng a litre of 95 unleaded petrol (ULP) will cost R10.77; while 93 ULP and Lead Replacement Petrol will be R10.60 a litre.

Diesel with 0.05 percent and 0.005 percent sulphur will rise by 36 cents a litre wholesale, to R10.01 and R10.08 respectively.

Illuminating paraffin will rise by 41 cents a litre wholesale. The single maximum national retail price of illuminating paraffin will rise by 55 cents.

The maximum retail price for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) will rise by 34 cents a kilogram.
