Road closed due to cricket

Corlett Drive has been blocked off due to high numbers of pedestrians arriving for the cricket match between South Africa and Sri Lanka at the Wanderers on Sunday morning, Johannesburg metro police said.

"The road is closed between Rudd and Athol Oaklands. Motorists are advised to use Oxford, Athol Oaklands and Rivonia roads as alternative roads," said Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar.

The road would be re-opened at 7pm, he said.
