Its owner found fresh tracks of the snake on Monday.

The snake, named Gabbana and another snake, Dolce, escaped from Angi Latimer's home in Tugela Crescent on Wednesday after they climbed up the burglar bars and pushed down on a door handle.

Dolce was found in the pool pump at her home on Thursday.

"We found fresh tracks along the fence this morning as well as clear signs of where Gabbana curled himself around a tree."

She said it was clear that Gabbana was following the heat of the sun.

Latimer said she sprinkled flour over all platforms in her yard in order to track Gabbana's movements.

"I am still very worried about him as rats and dogs could have bitten him by now. He has gone a week without being fed."

She was hoping to find Gabbana by the afternoon. "Hopefully he will also be in the pool pump by the time I return."
