"SANParks commits to meet striking employees and or their representatives in order to discuss issues that led to the strike," it said in a statement.

A meeting would take place on Thursday.

The workers have been on strike since February 3 over pay disparities and other labour issues.

The National Health and Allied Workers' Union (Nehawu), acting on behalf of the workers, had proposed that the rangers return to work by Tuesday.

It had also asked that the retrenchment plan for operational requirements be suspended, to which SANParks said it had agreed.

SANParks spokesman William Mabasa said none of the workers would be victimised or intimidated because they had participated in the strike.

"Acts of misconduct will be dealt with in accordance with the disciplinary code and procedure," he said.
