Want You Dead by Peter James (Pan Macmillan)

When Red Westwood placed a fun, sexy advert on an online dating agency website, she didn't imagine that the man who would respond would have such a profound effect on her life, and the lives of her parents.

Laurent Bryce is a handsome, charming man who sweeps Red off her feet. But when their relationship is broken up by her parents, he reveals a darker side, becoming obsessed.

This involves the surveillance of Red and the elimination of any new love interests.

James writes succinctly in this Roy Grace novel. It moves along swiftly and is captivating and easy to read. It's an ideal read for a flight; gripping and thrilling, and if you don't finish it, pick it up again later - the plot does not waver.
