A young British mother awoke to find that her iPhone had overheated to the extent of burning a hole in her chest.
According to the Daily Mail, Dionne Baxter, 24, was fast asleep when she realised her iPhone4, which she had put on charge, was burning her chest.
A former warehouse worker from Essex, Baxter was rushed to hospital, where doctors attempted to treat the 12.5cm wound with antibiotic cream and painkillers.
'"When I touched the phone, it was so hot I couldn't pick it up. It's dreadful," she told the newspaper.
''Imagine if my daughter had been on that side of the bed and it had burned her face,'' she added.
Apple reportedly declined to comment.
