Rescuers are still searching for an 84-year-old fisherman who went missing when his boat capsized in Lamberts Bay, north of Cape Town, the National Sea Rescue Institute said on Saturday.

The man went missing on Friday, spokesman Craig Lambinon said in a statement.

He was travelling with two other fishermen when the boat capsized around 11.15am.

The two men, believed to be in their early 70s, were found by another fishing boat which was in the area. They were taken to a nearby clinic and treated for mild hypothermia.

"It is believed that the missing fisherman was not wearing a life-jacket," Lambinon said.

The search went into Friday night and was continuing on Saturday morning.
