29 patients treated after two minibuses crash

Two babies were critically injured in a crash between two minibuses on Monday afternoon‚ in which a total of 29 patients were treated by emergency services.

Both minibuses overturned in the collision‚ which occurred on the N2 between Paddock and Izingolweni‚ in southern KwaZulu-Natal.

KZN Emergency Medical Services said in a statement that its paramedics stabilised the patients on the scene‚ most of whom had sustained only minor injuries. Patients requiring treatment were transported to several health institutions in the area‚ including Murchison and Port Shepstone hospitals.
