6 initiation deaths recorded this season

Two initiates died in the Eastern Cape over the weekend‚ bringing the number of deaths reported since the start of the winter season to six. The initiation season was officially launched on June 21.Five of the deaths were reported in the OR Tambo district - namely Port St Johns‚ Ngqeleni‚ Qumbu‚ Tsolo - and the sixth initiate death is from Mlungisi Township in Queenstown.The ages of the deceased initiates range between 14 and 29.One arrest has been made in connection with the deaths. – RDM News Wire, Daily Dispatch..
