Caitlyn not welcome on fright night

Online costume companies got more than they bargained for when they tried to capitalise on the Caitlyn Jenner hype. Earlier this year, Jenner - a former US athlete and the step-father of the Kardashian reality TV clan - came out as transgender, appearing on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine and setting social media records. Costume companies, thinking they could capitalise on her fame, created Halloween costumes marketed at men who want to dress up as Cait for the night.They didn't count on the controversy on social media, with some followers calling the get-up a "bad idea". Others have set up an online petition calling for the range to be discontinued.The costumes are being sold at anytimecostumes.com and wholesalehalloweencostumes.com, where they are categorised under "men's costumes".Their description reads: "You probably won't break any Twitter records when you wear this outfit like Caitlyn did, but you'll be sure to get a few laughs out of your friends and the other guests."@jordanmahoney8D said: "I will personally fight anyone wearing a Caitlyn Jenner Halloween costume this year."Another costume from the same company, called the Call Me Caitlyn Mr Olympian Costume Kit has been discontinued...
