Rihanna's hard 'Work' pays off big time

Rihanna's latest single Work continues to rack up accolades for the edgy Barbadian musician.The catchy dancehall tune featuring her rumoured beau, Drake, has been in the top spot of Spotify's Top 200 for the past month. The singer whose real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, released the song in January.
The song currently sits in fourth place
overall on the Apple iTunes chart, and in third place on the SA iTunes Pop chart.

Rihanna
promoted the song in an unexpected way: it has not one but two music videos -
the first directed by Director X and a second directed by Tim Erem. The music video gained 100 million views within 17 days.
Currently the video sits in first place on the SA iTunes Music video chart. Last month, Rihanna overtook King of Pop Michael Jackson as the artist with the third-greatest number of Billboard's Hot 100 number ones.
Work is her 14th number one.
Only Mariah Carey with
18 number ones and
The Beatles,
with 21 number ones, supercede her.


Currently on a worldwide tour for her latest studio album Anti, the Roc Nation artist will be honoured at Black Entertainment Television's Black Girls Rock awards on April 1 with the Rock Star Award.
She is the top-selling digital artist of all time after selling 54 million albums and 210 million digital tracks worldwide.
