Fire damages Icasa's Sandton headquarters‚ one seriously hurt

A fire broke out at the headquarters of telecommunications regulator‚ the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (Icasa)‚ on Monday afternoon. Their office is on Katherine Drive‚ in Sandton‚ Johannesburg.Paramedics arrived at about 1pm alongside the fire department - who worked effortlessly to extinguish the blaze‚ Emer-G-Med said in a statement."Five people sustained minor smoke inhalation related injuries. One person sustained more serious inhalation burns and was transported by Emer-G-Med to a nearby hospital for further treatment."It's believed that fortunately only two rooms in the building were well alight."The cause of the fire is unknown and is under investigation by the relevant authorities."..
