At least 17 people hospitalised after gas leak in building

Seventeen people had to be taken to hospital following what is understood to have been a gas leak at a business in Meyerton south of Johannesburg on Thursday afternoon‚ paramedics said.ER24 emergency medical service said paramedics and Fire and Rescue had attended to the incident.It added that people were evacuated from the building and that some of them complained of various symptoms‚ including headaches‚ shortness of breathe‚ nausea‚ vomiting and dizziness.“A triage area was set up and patients were assessed and treated. They were found to be in minor to moderate conditions. They were transported to various hospitals for further medical care‚” ER24 said...
