Cape Town caught the fever of US singer Kanye West's Yeezy Pablo pop-up stores at the weekend with scores of adoring fans queuing from the wee hours to ensure their chance to snap up his merchandise. Yesterday's rush was as mad as Friday's opening.Kanye revealed the location of the stores selling the Life of Pablo merchandise last week.Throngs of Kanye West fans took to social media and posted pictures of themselves in Bree Street in what they had bought at the pop-up store, from T-shirts to sweaters and army jackets, with not even the huge price tags deterring them.A Kanye fan who rushed to the city centre shop yesterday was Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba's 16-year-old daughter Lerato. She bought herself an orange crewneck with "Perfect" written on the back and "Cape Town" on the front. It cost the teenager just over R1,000."[The store] was really cool. I think it was everything that I expected. It wasn't too busy but it wasn't like [there was] nothing inside the store."I bought a crewneck. It was R1,100. It was worth it. If something else [another store] opened and it was R1,100 I wouldn't. I am a really big Kanye West fan. I would do it again," she said. But her friend Mia Chemelli, 16, was not as enthusiastic."They didn't have much in that store. I bought a long-sleeve top for R790. I think it is quite expensive for a long-sleeve shirt."But it is really cool. It says: 'I love you like Kanye loves Kanye' on it."I don't think I would buy a top for R700 again."I don't regret doing it because it will never be here again, so it was definitely worth the experience," Mia said...
