Elderly man shot four times during home invasion

A 70-year-old man was shot four times during a home invasion on a farm in Marble Hall, Mpumalanga, on Monday evening.

Netcare911 spokesperson Shawn Herbst said the incident happened at around 9:20pm. He said the man sustained gunshot wounds to his chest, arm and leg.

The victim was airlifted in a critical condition by a helicopter air ambulance.
