ANC Youth League leader Julius Malema has complained that he was being persecuted by the party for telling the truth.

He said he should be treated the same way Nelson Mandela and other top party leaders were when they challenged the elites.

Malema, who is facing disciplinary charges for allegedly bringing the ANC into disrepute, said part of the problem was that the youth league was not represented in the ANC's top six.

Speaking at the Walter Sisulu University , Malema said it was the job of the youth to introduce radical ideas.
