The African National Congress on Sunday urged “on our people to use the roads carefully to avoid the unnecessary loss of life and limb”. The party’s Zizi Kodwa said that while “it is the time of the year when goodwill and joy define the general mood of the people”‚ it was unfortunate that “ every year we lose loved ones due to avoidable road carnage that leave many friends and families scarred and traumatised for life”.“Let us not drink alcohol and drive‚ or use the road fatigued‚” urged Kodwa‚ adding that this included pedestrians.“Each one of us carries a responsibility to make our roads safe and the season memorable. Let us make this season memorable and incidents-free.“Let us support the government's campaign for safe roads and a stop to road carnage. Any death on our roads is a death too many.”..
