South Africa's top Super Rugby sides have all been hit by injuries, with the Sharks the hardest hit after losing wing Odwa Ndungane and Jannie du Plessis and possibly Adi Jacobs for the match against the Waratahs.

Ndungane broke his hand in the first half of last Saturday's match against the Bulls, who in turn will be without Fourie du Preez with a knee injury.

And the Stormers have lost prop CJ van der Linde.
