Pitso Mosimane is expected to sign a contract extension with Mamelodi Sundowns by Tuesday at the latest. The Sundowns coach‚ who led the side from Chloorkop to the Premier Soccer League title in the most recent season‚ confirmed his commitment to the side on Monday. There has been speculation over the future of the former Bafana Bafana coach and suggestions of disagreements over the nitty-gritty details of the contract‚ but the coach cleared the air.“My contract is sorted‚ I just need to sign it‚” Mosimane said from Chloorkop on Monday.“I will sign it today (Monday) or tomorrow – the latest tomorrow (Tuesday).”Contractual chaos makes a mockery of Sundowns' CAF preparationsMamelodi Sundowns captain Ramahlwe Mphahlele has been offered a R30,000 less monthly salary by his own club than a rival offer by Kaizer Chiefs. I need things to be done right‚ a few clauses to suit me so that I can do other things. It’s not that I’m fighting with Sundowns for R2 or R3. No‚ it’s not at that level.“You also have to understand that as much as you are here‚ well looked after and you are happy‚ you must also understand that one day you are not going to be here. I’m well looked after‚ by the way‚ I’m not complaining.”No break as Downs are back on CAF dutyOrdinarily Pitso Mosimane and his Mamelodi Sundowns crew would be on holiday watching the Euro 2016 tournament. That is not for me to answer‚” he answered‚ when asked how long he would remain at the helm of the Pretoria side.“A contract is just a piece of paper. How many coaches are sacked with a contract‚ local and overseas? You can sign for 10 years but then you are sacked in the next year“My work must speak for me. The coach admitted‚ though‚ that his work was far from over at the club. While current focus for the side is firmly on continental success in the CAF Champions League‚ Mosimane still wants to remain ahead of the pack in the domestic front.“I’d like to build this team. It took me three years to take it to 71 points‚” he said.“You need to keep sharpening the saw because other teams are sharpening their saw. You see a team like Pirates that wants to make you aware that ’25 points behind Sundowns‚ that is not going to happen again’. Chiefs is the same‚ that is why they have taken out 20 players.“The worst thing we can do is to rest on our laurels and say that we have arrived.
