A Chinese movie theatre has used a porn fan fiction picture in its poster advertising the new Marvel superhero sequel to ‘Thor’, according to reports.

The poster reportedly appears outside a Shanghai cinema, and was spotted by a Korean news site and on China's social media platform Weibo.

Thor: The Dark World, is a fan-made, Photoshopped image, a practice that some culture lovers, both straight and gay, do for their favourite fandoms of movies, comics, books, television shows, bands and the like, says The Atlantic Wire.

Although the fan-made poster for director Alan Taylor’s highly-anticipated sequel finds Thor and Loki locked in a loving embrace, chances are this scene won’t play out on the big screen, says NewsHour24.com.

Atlantic Wire quipped: “This is where we chime in with a joke about Asgard, right?”
