Orlando Pirates’ captain Oupa Manyisa has denied his wife, Johanna, hid her child from a previous relationship before they were married.

This comes after a Sunday World report which alleged that the wife of the Bafana Bafana midfielder had "forgotten" to tell him that she had a son with another man before they got married in 2013.

According to the report, Manyisa discovered the existence of the child after their marriage.

When they were still dating in high school, Johanna told Manyisa the child was her aunt's, according to the report.

"I knew all along and I asked her about it and she told me everything about it. It's not true that we were already married when I discovered that information," Manyisa told the Sunday tabloid.

Johanna confirmed the existence of the child but denied that Manyisa only found out about the child after they were married.

"I never hid my child from anybody and Oupa knew about the child," she said.
