Black Coffee denies frustrating careers of artists under his label
Internationally award-winning DJ Black Coffee has denied recent reports that his recording label signs young and upcoming artists they see as his direct threat in order to frustrate the growth of their careers.
It all started in September last year when Culoe De Song left Coffee’s recording label Soulistic Music allegedly because he felt not enough was done to promote his career.
De Song was followed by DJ Shimza in December, who allegedly wanted out and accused his boss Black Coffee of “playing dirty” and frustrating his progress.
The latest artist to allegedly fall out with Black Coffee is Da Capo, who is rumoured to be nearing the exit door at Soulistic Music. Da Capo also allegedly feels that his development has stagnated since joining the record label.
But De Song jumped to the defence of Coffee with a series of Tweets on Tuesday.
When I left Soulistic, I took some time away from everybody. I distanced myself from any close influence.

If Coffee was truly selfish, I wouldn't be touring the world today.
