BET's Black Girls Rock 2016‚ which aired on Saturday night‚ saw a slew of African-American women being celebrated for their work‚ and as a result‚ sent chills down the spine of local celebrities. The awards show‚ designed to shine light on the history-making achievements of black women‚ was hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross and it honoured a number of inspiring black women‚ including Rihanna‚ Gladys Knight‚ Shonda Rhimes and actress Amandla Stenberg.Taking to Twitter‚ local celebrities including Bonang Matheba‚ Boity‚ Khanya Mkangisa and TV personality Nomzamo Mbatha‚ shared how they were moved by the show and the entire initiative‚ founded by former DJ and model Beverly Bond.So much #BlackGirlMagic consuming me right now I am drowning in how much #BlackGirlsRock A sisterhood of love & celebration @BEVERLYBOND — Nomzamo (@NomzamoMbatha) April 9, 2016cons"Black womanhood is a radiant revolution."
