7de Laan executives have confirmed that actress Jo da Silva is leaving the show.
It’s believed that while the actress‚ who plays Gita on the popular SABC2 Afrikaans soapie‚ is set to make guest appearances here and there‚ she has resigned as a main cast member from the show.
You magazine is reporting that Jo will be moving to Cape Town to be closer to her daughter who is currently studying there.
“We at 7de Laan are sad at the loss of a wonderful actress but wish her everything of the best for the future. It’s not goodbye‚ just a temporary farewell‚” said a representative from the soapie.
Jo is just one of a handful of stars who have left the show‚ with many asking questions about the future of 7de Laan.
