Nearly three years since the death of her husband, the widow of popular TV personality Vuyo Mbuli says their family has still not filled the void he left.

Speaking to IOL recently, Savita Mbuli explains that she still thinks about her late husband often and said it will be a while until she will be able to come to terms with the loss.

“I don’t think I have dealt with the void in our lives yet. Every little thing reminds me of Vuyo. I never used to drive anywhere on my own. Vuyo used to drive me. He was one of those traditional husbands who did grocery shopping. I think of him constantly. It’s going to take me a while to accept that he is not here,” She said.

Savita went on to explain that she sees a lot of Vuyo in their children who have gone on to shine at performing arts and public speaking.

“He might not have left us with millions but what he left with the kids nobody can take away. They can articulate their opinions. They are so fearless and outspoken as their father was. We have had political discussions since they were babies,” she explained. "All I want is to see my children grow, get married and have their own children. I pray to God every day that he may just give me a long life.”

Despite recent reports that she has moved on and is currently engaged, Savita said that she is not interested in a relationship at the moment.

"Maybe in my fifties or sixties for companionship but not any time soon,” she said.
