US hairstylist Chris Naselli, who was recently in the country, gave TMG Entertainment a snapshot of what's it like to be a 'stylist to the stars.'

Chris explained that he never thought he'd end up working with some of Hollywood's finest, and that it all happened "organically."

"To be honest I never really thought I would end up in this arena. I have owned a salon in the East Village of New York for many years. Through word of mouth, fashion editors, stylists and actors began coming to the salon. So it happened very organically and grew," he said.

Chris added that Gossip Girl and Frozen star Kristen Bell was actually one of his clients before she got her big break.

  •

"I am really lucky that I'm surrounded by some of the most beautiful and talented women in the world."

Chris says that he inherited his passion for hairdressing from his mom who was a hairstylist for over 40 years. "As a child I would sit and watch her work and I was always in awe of how beautiful and glamourous she was. I guess I was meant to be a hairstylist."

  •

Among some of the impressive names whose hair Chris has done over the years is Katie Holmes, Alicia Vikander, Olivia Munn, Tilda Swinton, Emmy Rossum, Connie Britton, Nina Dobrev, Michelle Dockery, Ellie Kemper and Michelle Monaghan.

That's quite an impressive CV - but it's no doubt daunting to work with such famous faces?

Well, not for Chris, who only had words of praise for his elite clients.

  •

"They are all so different and amazing. I adore Emmy Rossum for her risk taking and taste. I love Michelle Monaghan for her ability to move from cool every day girl to glamorous icon effortlessly.  And Alicia Vikander is a tour de force of talent and elegance (and the sweetest human)."

Chris says his journey has been "unreal" and that he feels so lucky to be doing what he loves, while meeting the "most talented people from around the world."

So how do we get hair like Kristen Bell?

  • Use a great conditioner every day from root to tip.
  • Let your hair dry naturally a couple times a week.
  • Get some sleep. Your hair needs rest too.
