Former Sundowns player Esrom Nyandoro held at gunpoint in armed robbery - reports

Former Mamelodi Sundowns player Esrom Nyandoro was reportedly held at gunpoint in his Kempton Park home last week.

Sunday Sun reports that the footballer's house was ransacked, with burglars helping themselves to "a lot of cash."

"When they were done robbing him, they fled with his valuable goods and cash," a source told the local publication.

"The former soccer star remained cool as robbers helped themselves to his belongings. He also lost at least R25 000 in cash, a cellphone and car keys," the source added.

Without divulging many details, Esrom revealed to Sunday Sun that the robbers took copious amounts of money, and further claimed that he is still in shock.

SAPS spokesperson Captain Tsekiso Mofokeng has confirmed to TMG Entertainment that a case of armed robbery was opened by Esrom. He said that an investigation is underway.
