It's hardly any secret that Ntsiki Mazwai is not afraid to speak her mind. The musician and poet has spoken out against language issues in South Africa, lack of originality in local hip-hop and Lorna Maseko in the wake of an alleged racist row at Rivers Church.

This time, Ntsiki took to Twitter to fire shots at TV and radio personality Khanyi Mbau on Tuesday morning.

She expressed her concerns with Khanyi being billed by the ANC to speak on the topic, 'Shaping Our Economy' at a fundraising dinner last week.

  •

"When politics meets pop culture. HOW and WHY should we take @MYANC seriously? Khanyi Mbau???? Wow ok," she tweeted in response to a poster, that was shared online, promoting the event.

"EFF is going to take over precisely because it is more intellectual than the ANC. ANC has Khanyi Mbau, EFF has real women thinkers," she added.

Continuing to take aim at Khanyi, Ntsiki suggested that she was not fit for an "intellectual discussion"

"Khanyi Mbau has a lot of charisma and dramatic flairs...but using her for an intellectual discussion is an insult to intellectuals. She was never the smartest pea in the pod...opportunistic, yes......intellectual, no," she said.
