The speculations, spawned by a Sunday Sun report, claim that the show's senior actors, including Sindy Dlathu, Dingaan Mokebe ka Khumalo, Cynthia Shange and Senzokuhle Radebe have embarked on a form of protest in an effort to express their unhappiness.

  •

While it isn't exactly clear what they're 'unhappy' about, one of the local publication's sources revealed that some of the cast members have met with SABC COO, Hlaudi Motsoeneng to express their concerns.

"I know there’s been some unhappiness and I know senior actors met with Hlaudi to discuss the matter," the source revealed.

  •

However, one of the actors, Dingaan, explained that he's unaware of the supposed strike, saying:"As far as I know, I’m still part of Muvhango. I’m happy. I’m not shooting because I’m on leave."

Speaking to TMG Entertainment, the show's publicist, Amanda Ngudle, poured cold water over the rumours, insisting that there is no strike taking place at the moment.

"The reports are untrue. I therefore cannot give you a comment," she said.
