Dr Malinga joins fans in defending Babes Wodumo's accent

Dr Malinga has joined scores of fans who have rallied behind Babes Wodumo in the wake of criticism over her not being able to speak English fluently.

This comes just days after Babes' found herself in the middle of a social media storm, after she revealed during a radio interview that she did not know who Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan is.

While some hated on her, the majority of her fans jumped to her defence starting the hashtag #HandsoffBabesWodumo to show their support for her.

Babes' haters have since moved on from the Pravin Gordhan debacle and onto the singer's English accent.

But thankfully for the Wololo hitmaker she's got people like Dr Malinga in her corner.

Taking to social media Dr Malinga shared a post that has been doing the rounds, which defends Babes, and has said that he respects her.

"Sies man, who said speaking fluent English makes one wealthy and special," read part of the post.

Dr Malinga went on to caption it: "Respect Babes Wodumo."
