Fans of TV personality Bonang Matheba have taken to social media to defend their idol, after a "threatening email" apparently sent by the star's account to Ntsiki Mazwai went viral on Thursday.

Following her spicy remarks that Bonang had a thing for "tacky" and "violent" men, Ntsiki took to Twitter on Thursday morning to share a screengrab of an email, she claims came from Bonang's account, threatening her.

The alleged email warned Ntsiki to stay in her lane and throws massive shade at her singing abilities. "Don't start what you cannot finish sisi. I'm not the one you want to mess with in this media zone. Focus on why your music doesn't sell and, while you're at it, try and look pretty," reads part of the message she claims to have received.

Ntsiki didn't take kindly to the email and launched an angry attack on Bonang, warning her to never try send an email like that again and threatening to "expose" her.

And even though Bonang acted swiftly to claim that she had not sent the mail, her fans were far more vocal in defending their idol.

Launching wave-after-wave of angry messages at Ntsiki, Bonang's fans didn't hold back from telling the poet and musician how they felt about her and the fiasco.

But Ntsiki has stood firm in her belief that the email was sent by Bonang.
