The late Vuyo Mbuli's widow, Savita has honoured his memory with a traditional ceremony attended by friends and family.

The Ukubuyisa ceremony, which reportedly lasted an entire weekend, was held at the home Savita and Vuyo shared.

According to Drum magazine one of the guest's who attended the ceremony applauded Savita for teaching her children about cultural values and keeping her husband's memory alive.

  •

"She is teaching her children well and this ceremony is to bid her last goodbye to the love of her life in a traditional Xhosa ritual," the source apparently told the publication.

Savita and Vuyo share two children together Sithenkosi and Siphesihle.

  •

The ceremony was attended by some of Savita's close friends including David Tlale and Basetsana Khumalo.

Vuyo Mbuli died almost three years ago after suffering from a pulmonary embolism.
