US RnB star Omarion is currently shooting a music video in South Africa. A video he hopes will showcase the beauty of the country to his fans around the world.

Besides performing across the country, as part of Anatii's Artiifact album launch tour, Omarion has been hard at work shooting a video for his upcoming single Distance (between us) in the Valley of a Thousand Hills in KwaZulu-Natal and Camps Bay, Cape Town.

Pictures from various shoots for the video were uploaded by Omarion and Anatii recently, giving fans a glimpse at what to expect.

Speaking to Slikour recently, Omarion said that he brought a number of African elements into the video, such as traditional and pantsula dancers, to give it a unique flavour.

"We got local talent. We had an audition earlier and we got a few ladies to come through. My purpose in shooting this video was to show my people back at home that this is a place you can go. A place to go and dance and's like a hidden gem that people haven't explored yet," Omarion said.

The muso added that he has been particularly impressed by the sounds and dance moves that seem to come so easily to South Africans.

"Right here, the sounds are connected to something different. It's not just the dance moves. It's really interesting, the culture. I love it. It's powerful," he added.
